Climate Change Educator |
EDN's ground-breaking National Civic Education Project (NCEP) gives teachers the structure and support to combine classroom civic and environmental education with hands-on learning experiences that provide an opportunity for students to remedy local environmental concerns. In our pilot effort during 2005-2006, NCEP scored an impressive victory, being credited with convincing the Cincinnati School Board to adopt green building standards for a $1 billion state refurbishment bond for schools. Apply to become a leader in civic and environmental education here. |

In partnership with the Campus Climate Challenge, a project of the Energy Action Coalition, EDN provides stipends and year-long support to Climate Change Educators to win global warming victories at schools nationwide. During 2007-2008, a Climate Change Educator in Washington State worked with students to create a Cool Schools Challenge, an effort that has helped over 20 schools reduce climate emissions and won the prestigious President's Environmental Youth Awards. Join us in creating a clean energy future! Apply here.
